A nod to Martinborough’s pioneering namesake John Martin, who once farmed the land with sheep, earning him the name of ‘runholder’.
This Pinot Noir is sourced from Te Kairanga’s home vineyards planted on his original land holdings.
To reflect this original Runholder, our 2019 vintage had been upgraded to a newly designed label referencing the hills that surround Te Kairanga.
Beautiful dark red hues lead to an aromatic flurry of cherries, spices and classic Martinborough savoury, earthy notes.
The palate displays vibrant fruit flavours finishing with fine silky tannins. A perfect match for herb crusted lamb.
A world-class wine, Runholder Pinot Noir has picked up a swathe of awards over the past three Vintages.
